This morning, we had the joy of welcoming the OFM Minister General, Fr. Massimo Fusarelli, who presided at the Mass for this first day of the EGC, accompanied by two other friars.
In his reflection on the Gospel, he drew our attention to the heart of our charism, found in Mary’s attitude of availability: “Here I am” (Luke 1:38), which we are called to live at this stage of transformation in our Institute.

Referring to the intuition expressed in the vision of the EGC 2018, Sr. Eufemia Glenny, in her opening words, reminded us that Jesus is the new wine who needs new wineskins (Mark 2:22) in order to be made known to the world.
Yes, “God wishes to breathe forth himself through us.”

The EGC has begun, let us pray to the Spirit of the Lord that He may make it bear much fruit in the service of our world.
