The day began with the closing address of Sr. Eufemia in the Sala Pia.

She linked the call to be “pilgrims on the way, witnesses of hope” to Mary, the Mother of God, who gave witness to Hope despite overwhelmed by grief at the foot of the Cross. Likewise, each sister is invited despite obstacles, like the first Christian communities, raise their heads(Lk 8:28) ‘to look beyond and see the greater vision, the common project, and to find in them the message of hope’

The closing Mass followed with Fr Nicola Gerundini, the celebrant.  In his homily, he shared Mary Magdalene’s encounter with Jesus in the garden. He urged us to let go of ‘former’ ways of relating, to continually deepen the encounter with Christ, according to the Spirit

After the Final Blessing the sisters, processed out to the blue chapel with lamps entrusted to them, a reminder of the mission that awaits them.
