The Institute of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary is an international Catholic institute, present on the five continents in various countries. The Institute is at the service of the universal mission. It is organized in several provinces, made up of several communities inserted in various countries. The Sisters live in international and intercultural communities and are involved in various sectors of the pastoral and social life of the Church. According to its charism, the sisters are at the service of evangelization, disponible in responding to the needs of the mission with a preferential option for the poorest. The General House is located in Rome. “In our Institute, as an international fraternity brought together by the Spirit… unity is reinforced by meeting among sisters in a plurality of cultures and lifestyles. In togetherness God makes us grow in truth and charity.” (CS 7 & 21)

The years have passed, the faces have changed, but the mission continues always more current. Today, almost 5580 Franciscan Missionaries of Mary from 78 nationalities, open to Universal Mission, like Francis, travel up and down the roads of 73 countries, throughout the five continents.
