The superior general is the bond of unity in the institute. She promotes its spiritual animation in the spirit of St. Francis and according to the charism of Mary of the Passion. She encourages the development and apostolic dynamism of the Institute and keeps in touch with the provinces and communities.

The general councillors, collaborate with the superior general in her responsibility for government and in reflection for the common good of the Institute, with a view to its spiritual and apostolic animation as a whole. Together with the superior general they keep in close touch with the provinces through visits and other forms of contact.
