A Church at the Crossroads: Reflecting with Pope Francis

From the very beginning, Pope Francis reminded the Church—and the world—that faith must be lived close to the people, especially the forgotten.

In Laudato Si, he called us to hear both “the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor,” making climate justice a moral imperative.

With Amoris Laetitia, he invited us to walk with families—real families—with real struggles. He opened doors to mercy, not judgment.

In Fratelli Tutti, he offered a bold vision of universal brotherhood—calling us beyond borders, beyond politics, toward a world built on solidarity and peace.

He lived the Gospel authentically- with humble steps, offering peace, and turning always to those on the margins.

And now, as the Church looks to the horizon… a conclave approaches.

As the Church enters this sacred moment, we invite you to pause and pray with us.

Let us ask the Holy Spirit to guide our Cardinals, with wisdom, grace, and a heart open to God’s will.

Together we pray:

O God, eternal shepherd,

who govern your flock with unfailing care,

grant in your boundless fatherly love

a pastor for your Church

who will please you by his holiness

and to us show watchful care.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

God, for ever and ever. Amen.
